In this chapter I went to the next level in my recovery. I finally got into the routine of doing my daily rehab at Epworth. Chapter 4 see’s me back up on my feet after a few months wheelchair bound. Here’s a video of those first majestic steps I made:
First steps as a free man!
These were the first steps I was making towards getting my old life back... right? I didn’t realize this at the time, but I was never going to get my old life back. I was never going to get to hang out with the boys at trade school, work on the tools as an electrician or experience the fun and joy and excitement and thrill and super amazing extraordinary exhilarating feeling of riding a motorbike, again! These were the first steps I was making towards MY NEW LIFE!
