“When you feel better, you play better, when you play better, they pay better” Preparing for your shift, mentally and physically. Read your table-AND all other sections in the room From a Management perspective- how can a server/Bartender help optimize the flow of the room? What can you share about table turns or reservations in order to help them understand the bigger picture? Mistakes, Challenges will arise- Breath and keep moving, don’t let a bump in the road mess up an entire shift.  Utilize Management Team efficiently- what are some of the best ways to utilize the expertise of the management team in order to diffuse a situation.  Double Down on your strengths, whether it is personality, wine knowledge, or local event knowledge, use the powers at hand to elevate the experience for each guest.  At the end of your shift, take time time to play the tape, figure out what skills you can polish to grow each day.
