Finding mentors and coaches in your life

People are always looking for shortcuts to making more money or growing your business. Stop looking for what you can do but look for who you can add to your life that can help you reach those goals.

How to find the right kind of mentor or coach

Look for people that have been or that are where you want to be. It’s hard to find business advice from someone that has never run a business. Look for someone that aligns with your goals. If you are not on the same page, you will run into problems. Find the people that can complement your strengths and fill the gap from your weaknesses.

Look for the relationship

If someone wants to sell you services or feels like they have the answer but have never taken the time to get to know you then you need to make sure it’s what you are looking for. You don’t want to be with the person that is just looking to sell something

It’s ok to pay for help

Don’t be scared if a mentor or coach wants to charge up front for their help. Their time is valuable and worth the investment. It’s not a reflection of their commitment but rather their value.
