The implications for effective community involvement underscore the significance of addressing personal experiences of stigma, complex relational dynamics, and understanding the needs of support systems that are also shaped by the cycles of incarceration and addiction.

In this episode, I talk about the intersectionality of trauma, addiction, and incarceration, especially pertaining to how the community views them, the stigmas associated with these topics in the community, the barriers to treatment, and how we should start and continue the conversation about how the community needs to change the way we see addiction as it relates to the associated rates of incarceration.
