The road to building a successful business isn't always easy.  There will, for sure, be lots of blood, sweat and tears along the way and many moments where we wonder if it will ever pay off.  Never underestimate the power of a Mother in need of feeding and caring for her children. In this podcast we are joined by Denise Christopher, owner of Attention To Detail Janitorial Services.  She shares with us her reason for pushing through adversity and never taking NO for an answer.  Denise  exemplifies what the combination of hard work, determination and grace look like.  There is so much we can all learn from Denise and her success as a Mother and business owner.  Denise is a mom of 3 girls ages 24, 21 and 6. They are her life, her purpose, and her motivation.

Attention To Detail Janitorial Services, is currently in their 11th year of service. Denise runs the company with her partner in life and in business, Laszlo. They are also agents for Weichert Realtors for the past 7 years. 

She started the company in 2012 after moving back from living in the Caribbean for 11 years. When she moved back to NJ, she was a single mom (of 2 at the time) and needed to support them and herself.  She needed to put gas into the borrowed car she was using; she was doing freelance work in the social media marketing and graphic design area which she started in 2009 originally but it wasn’t enough to pay the bills… she had the hustle and work ethic but wasn’t sure where to apply it,  so…. she asked her sister if she’d pay her to clean her house, and that’s where it started.

Fast forward 11 years,  Attention To Detail Janitorial Services has 15 employees, expanded to servicing about 60 local businesses, many several days a week.  ATD is also in the estate clean out business and works with several local attorneys and real estate agents, fulfilling their need to sort through items carefully,  pack items for the families and donate to several people in need.  She's  had so many crazy experiences she could write a book at this point!  Its been a struggle and a juggle at times but wouldn’t change a thing.
