Welcome to the Catflap Chats podcast. My name is Mikey, but lots call me Catflap, Flap, or Flapper, and I'm fortunate enough to call some pretty interesting people my mates - Professional sports, Rugby, Boxing, MMA, Football, Actors, Singers, and Business, in Wales and beyond.

I'm going to have a beer with a different mate each week, and delve in to their professional and personal lives. Expect some distinctly average chat, funny stories, and insights in behind the scenes.

Basically, I am absolutely winging this!

Ep146 - DJ Forbes - New Zealand 7s Legend

November 08, 2022 18:25 - 1 hour - 91.1 MB

One of my heroes watching the 7s circuit over the years, with that huge beard and bald head - I was like DJ Forbes after 40 kebabs! Fresh from the Hong Kong 7s, a great chat with someone who's genuinely won it all in their field, played with and against some of the greats, became an Olympian, and has transitioned over to the other side of sport.  Thanks always Whitson Prestige, FourFive CBD and Tiny Rebel Brewery

Ep145 - Harry McNulty - Ireland 7s, Olympian, and hosting Safari's in Kenya

October 31, 2022 12:00 - 1 hour - 98.4 MB

What a great guy Harry is. A mainstay of the Ireland 7s team, recently getting to the Olympics, and doing well on both the World 7s Series, and the recent 7s RWC. In his spare time, his work with a camera and on Safari in Kenya is also unreal too. One of rugby's nomads, and top blokes too. Looking forward to seeing how Ireland do in the 7s series this season. Thanks always Whitson Prestige, FourFive CBD, and Tiny Rebel Brewery

Ep144 - Mike Brown - Harlequins and England Rugby Legend

October 24, 2022 12:00 - 1 hour - 105 MB

I didn't know what to expect from Mike, having only ever known him through what the press and social media said of him, with their own agenda. What I found was an articulate and clever player, who cared an awful lot for Quins and country, and who is absolutely misunderstood by the aforementioned. I loved his honesty and the fact he was his authentic self. What a genuinely top bloke, who will get to the top in whatever field he chooses.  Thanks always Whitson Prestige, Tiny Rebel Brewery, a...

Ep143 - Garry Banford - Ex SBS & Special Forces Leader, who's helping people on their leadership, resilience and authenticity

October 17, 2022 11:16 - 1 hour - 117 MB

Interesting chat with Garry - You can see how he's shelved those SBS and Military experiences as things that define him, whilst pulling on the lessons learned, to help others in the corporate and sports world. He makes a lot of sense, and I can see how he would add real value to a company. He also still looks in great shape, so I wouldn't want to cross him either!  Thanks always Whitson Prestige, FourFiveUK, & Tiny Rebel Brewery

Ep142 - Chris Hill - Rugby League Legend (Or not, if you ask him)

October 10, 2022 16:14 - 1 hour - 109 MB

What a guy - Had a great laugh with Chris, fresh off the back of England RL's World Cup warm up game on Friday vs Fiji, heading into next week's RLWC.  Huddersfield, Warrington, Leigh, and Great Britain, Chris delves into them all, his career, and his businesses on the side too. Pretty humble, tons of grafting, and pretty resilient - It is easy to see why he's been at the top of Rugby League for so long.  Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery, Whitson Prestige, and FourFive.com

Ep141 - Mike Bates - Covert Op's, Human Intelligence, and Grappling the Atlantic

October 03, 2022 07:45 - 1 hour - 95 MB

Such an interesting conversation. Mike is currently training to ambark on a solo row across the Atlantic. Is it absolutely insane, and we delve in to the why's and how's in more detail. Look up @theatlanticgrappler on Instagram. This follows a career as a Royal Marines Commando (Going after Saddam, Osama and others), and the Covert Op's and Human Intelligence & Account Handling. He also dispels the myths you read in books or see on the TV!  Thanks always Whitson Prestige, Tiny Rebel Brewer...

Ep140 - Jerry Flannery - Harlequins, Munster, Ireland Rugby and the B&I Lions

September 26, 2022 12:00 - 1 hour - 114 MB

What a top bloke. Spoke to Jerry midweek, and then watched Harlequins in a contender for game of the season whilst editing. It was so interesting listening to him talk, whilst watching what he's paid to do. He talks all things coaching, working with talent, culture in teams, that Munster changing room, playing for Ireland, and the Lions.  Thanks always Whitson Prestige, FourFive CBD, and Tiny Rebel Brewery

Ep139 - Luther Burrell - Racism, Rugby, and Eddie Jones

September 05, 2022 12:00 - 1 hour - 95.4 MB

I loved this chat, what a top bloke Luther is. It was fascinating to chat about the recent press coverage, his experiences of Racism in Rugby, Rugby in general. and having a laugh with Eddie Jones. We laughed a lot in this episode and spoke in depth about some serious issues too. Top player, better bloke.  Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery, Whitson Prestige, and use code FLAP15 for 15% off at FourFive.com

Ep138 - Simon Jeffries - Ex Special Forces, SBS, and The Natural Edge

August 29, 2022 17:37 - 1 hour - 121 MB

Loved catching up with Simon. Interesting to hear him talking about mindsets, purpose, and the little things everyone in society can do to help themselves both physically and mentally. I can see why he is so successful with The Natural Edge, but also why he held a successful career in the Marines, Special Forces, and the SBS. He's worked in some of the most hostile environments, and is bringing those lessons to the real world.  Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery, Whitson Prestige, and use 'F...

Ep137 - Robin Horsfall - Former SAS Soldier, Author & Veterans Campaigner (Operations Banner, Nimrod and Mikado)

August 08, 2022 18:06 - 1 hour - 103 MB

Today was a really interesting chat - Robin joined the army at 15, after a tough childhood. He joined the Para-Troopers before his 18th birthday, and passed SAS selection at 22. Northern Ireland, The Iranian Embassy siege, and the Falklands, amongst other tours. We also spoke about today's societal issues, and is life better or worse today, according to the Media.  Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery and Whitson Prestige

Ep136 - Katie Owen - DJ'ing for Kasabian, Hosting Reading & Leeds, Working in Football & Music

August 01, 2022 18:15 - 37 minutes - 52.2 MB

Come on a whistle stop catch up with one of South Wales most active DJ's and presenters, Katie Owen. When she's not warming up the crowd at Kasabian gigs, she's working for Sport Bible at the Women's Euro's, warming up the crowd for Wales Footy matches, hosting her own Radio shows, and hosting the Main Stage in Leeds for Reading & Leeds Festival! I love how she delved in to being a Woman on Social Media too.  Thanks always Tiny Rebel and Whitson Prestige.

Ep135 - Budgy Smuggler - Freeing the thighs from the 'Curtains of Shame' (Boardshorts)

July 25, 2022 13:20 - 42 minutes - 59.2 MB

Loved catching up with Chief Smuggler Adam 'Linny' Linforth, on his whistle stop trip to London and Paris. Anyone who knows me, knows I love the guys at Budgys, but also what the brand stands for, and the fun associated with them. They're creating a community of like minded people, who want to have great times, and feel good in themselves. Great story of a 10+ year overnight success! Thanks always Whitson Prestige, Motazone Cwmbran and Tiny Rebel Brewing

Ep134 - Lauren Webber - The Mum Club, & everything that goes with being a Mum (and Business Owner)

July 18, 2022 12:00 - 1 hour - 96.9 MB

Loved this episode - Lauren has had to sacrifice so much along the way, its great to see TMC going from strength to strength with 37 franchises and counting, let alone going global! We spoke business, but also being a mum, longing for community when you've given birth, absolutely winging it at times, and how its never plain sailing. @themumclub / www.themumclub.com Thanks always Whitson Prestige, Motazone Cwmbran, and Tiny Rebel Brewery

Ep133 - Joe Gray - MyoMaster, Harlequins, Saracens, Northampton Saints & England Rugby

July 11, 2022 17:31 - 56 minutes - 77.6 MB

Top bloke is Joe, who's grafted both on and off the field to get to where he is now. He's just hung the boots up after 16 years as a pro, and co-founded Myomaster too, which aims to rival Theragun. He was the first player to win the Premiership, Championship, both European cups, the LV Cup, and the B&I Cup, and now he's taking that experience in to coaching with Harlequins and London Scottish too.  Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery, Motazone Cwmbran and welcome onboard Whitson Prestige

Ep132 - Charlie Sharples - Gloucester Rugby Legend, & English Premiership Stalwart (and Independent Financial Advisor IYKYK)

July 04, 2022 15:05 - 1 hour - 91.4 MB

Funny episode with Charles Sharples, as he introduced himself haha. He's a down to earth lad - Good to hear about the challenges he faced for both England and Gloucester, and the good times too. He gives some real insight in to what has been a class career, which he's looking to emulate off the field too.  Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery and Motazone.net

Ep131 - Mike Ruddock OBE - Rugby, Coaching, & finding the Stars of tomorrow

June 27, 2022 12:00 - 1 hour - 117 MB

What an insightful chat this was with Mike - He delved in to all aspects of his coaching career, the highs and the lows. He's currently finding the stars of tomorrow for the Ospreys, and I love his outlook on that programme. He's won a Grand Slam with Wales, and Division 3 West with Mumbles, and seen pretty much everything in between. Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery and Motazone Cwmbran

Ep130 - Jordan Conroy - Ireland 7s, Olympian, & Dancing with the Stars

June 20, 2022 18:20 - 1 hour - 86.3 MB

What a guy Jordan is. The toughest of upbringings, and not playing rugby until he was 18 - This didn't stop Jordan working his way to the top, and doing it all with a smile on his face. Tokyo2020, The World 7s series, and a few different TV shows - Everywhere he goes, people are left enjoying!  Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery and Motazone.net

Ep129 - Deacon Manu - Fiji Rugby and Scarlets legend, with a bit of Super Rugby too

June 13, 2022 16:43 - 57 minutes - 78.9 MB

What a lovely guy, who wasn't afraid to give his opinion on a few bits. Great career in New Zealand, Wales, and captained Fiji too, although that wasn't always plain sailing Tough as teak but always had a smile on his face, and could have ended up a Wales player at one point! Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery, Supply My Fire, and Motazone Cwmbran!

Ep128 - Isa Nacewa - Leinster Rugby Legend, & doing bits down under...

June 06, 2022 14:12 - 48 minutes - 66.8 MB

What a lovely bloke, who's had an interesting career in both hemispheres. Down south he made a huge impact, but in the North is where he earned hero status - Winning everything with Leinster.  He talks about his relationship with Fiji Rugby, or lack of, and how it could have panned out differently. He's now carving out a great career in Auckland, but I think we will see him back coaching one day! Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery, Supply My Fire, and Motazone Cwmbran

Ep127 - Dean Conway - Ex ECB Physio & Owner of CRX Compression

May 30, 2022 10:50 - 1 hour - 85 MB

30 years+ years in professional Cricket, you see one or two things! Part of that historic 2005 Ashes win, and unofficially the go between (Agony Aunt) for players and management. I loved catching up with Dean, and chatting all things Cricket, Characters, and even a bit of Rugby for good measure. Some great stories, from a top bloke. Have a look at CRX Compression too! Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery, Motazone Cwmbran and Supply My Fire

Ep126 - Ed Jackson - Broadcaster, Adventurer, Ex Rugby Player, Optimist.

May 23, 2022 14:04 - 1 hour - 94.6 MB

One of my fav episodes to date - What a guy Ed is. From professional Rugby player to Quadriplegic. From never walking again, to scaling mountains a year later. Resilience in spades. Who knew, wiggling your toe would lead to so many adventures. I love his resilience, his willingness to push boundaries, and the ability to say yes, and figure it out as he goes along.  Thanks always Motazone.net, Supply My Fire, and Tiny Rebel Brewery

Ep125 - Don Armand Pt2 - Exeter Chiefs Legend (We actually talk a bit of Rugby here)

May 16, 2022 12:16 - 1 hour - 103 MB

Great to talk to Don a second time, this time with a sprinkling of Rugby, his back ground, and what it takes to be in the mind of a professional athlete. I'm not sure he would have made it as a boxer mind ;) The guy is infectious, and I can't wait to see where his post rugby career goes, after winning it all in England with Exeter.  Thanks always SupplyMyFire.com and Tiny Rebel Brewery

Ep124 - Don Armand Pt1 - Exeter Chiefs legend, and being a good bloke (in general & rugby)

May 09, 2022 12:00 - 54 minutes - 75.6 MB

An hour flew by without even realising! Part 2 coming soon.  9 years a Chief, a few caps, winning the LV, the Premiership, and the European Champions Cup, after a few tussles with a certain team, but we hardly spoke about Rugby in this hour. Social Media, Mental Health, transitioning to business, and being a good bloke in general were all covered instead, as well as his vision for the gaming industry! Don is a great bloke, and will go down as an Exeter legend! Thanks Supply My Fire, an...

Ep123 - Owen Carrick - Eating...Or Not? Living with a Male Easting Disorder

May 02, 2022 08:30 - 45 minutes - 62.6 MB

Bit of a different one. Whilst we normally associate Anorexia and Bulimia with eating disorders in Women, 1 in 3 men have an eating disorder of some type.  Owen has lived with this condition for over 6 years now, and got down to only 6 stones, at 5"4 tall. Whilst he's doing better now, it lead to depression and more.  Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery, Porter Travel, Dragon Signs UK and supplymyfire.com

Ep122 - Jarrod Evans - Cardiff Rugby and Wales Rugby Fly-Half

April 18, 2022 12:00 - 53 minutes - 73 MB

I absolutely bloody love Jar. A top lad with the world at his feet Rugby wise. All the talent in the world, but happens to have been playing at a time when there's so much competition for the 10 jersey in Wales. Only 25, he has his best years ahead of him, after achieving so much already for Club and Country. You could tell he was frustrated with recent results and the stop start nature of the last few years in general. Can't wait to see more games like that win over Leinster - Balls of stee...

Ep121 - Lisa Marie Brown - Pinkspiration, Formula Women, and her love of owning and designing Supercars

April 11, 2022 15:46 - 35 minutes - 49.6 MB

I got a chance to have a whirlwind 30 mins with Lisa, fresh off her being all over the press as the lady who's about to design Katie Price's new supercar!  We spoke about being a women in predominantly male orientated industries, owning and driving Supercars, competing in Formula Racing for Women, and social media trolls. Her passion is infectious and looking forward to where she takes things!  Thanks always Dragon Signs and Tiny Rebel, and welcome onboard Porter Travel and SupplyMyFire....

Ep120 - Dr Perry Crofts - The NHS, Depression, and Suicide...The Cost of Caring?

April 04, 2022 09:00 - 1 hour - 83.8 MB

This is a difficult listen at times, and there's graphic talk of Suicide.  Perry is a Dr, training to be a GP, and talks of his story living with depression, which spiralled, and working in the NHS too. He's written a new book 'The Cost of Caring' which can be bought on Amazon, at Waterstones etc too.  Please reach out. You're never alone. Thanks always Dragon Signs UK and Tiny Rebel Brewery

Ep119 - Hugh Watkins -Former Professional Rugby Referee

March 21, 2022 12:00 - 51 minutes - 70.5 MB

20 years a Ref! Great chatting with someone on the other side of the whistle, and to get their views on rugby today, law interpretations, but in an engaging way. RWC07, Tri Nations, 6 Nations, the 7s Series, Celtic League and Heineken Cup - There isn't much Hugh hasn't seen on the pitch! That includes team consulting and working with Governing Bodies too. Thanks always Dragon Signs UK and Tiny Rebel Brewery

Ep118 - @Ginge_Unhinged (My Aunty) - Endometriosis. Early Menopause. Mental Health

March 14, 2022 11:55 - 1 hour - 89.4 MB

I knew my Aunty had been through some stuff. I never understood the duration/complexities or severity of her conditions, nor how common they were amongst women. This was tough for me. I heard things I hadn't heard before, and it hits closer to home when it's family. It was also tough as I felt guilt for not knowing, and probably not making enough of an effort either.  Thank you to Aunty Victoria, for being so open.  Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery and Dragon Signs UK

Ep117 - Leon Pryce - Over 500 Pro Rugby League Games - GB & England Rugby League, Bradford Bulls, St Helens, Catalan Dragons, Hull and more

March 07, 2022 12:00 - 51 minutes - 70.3 MB

What hasn't this guy seen or done? Played with and against the best players the world had to offer. Won it all as a team and individually. One of the best Rugby League players England have produced, who did it his way.  I loved this one, and could still see a little spark in the belly when he was talking about facing those old teams. Would have loved to have played with him, and hated playing against him. Thank you Dragon Signs. Tiny Rebel and Healthy Hangout UK.

Ep116 - Angus Baskerville - Becoming a Magician; Living with ADHD, Asperger's, and Autism

February 28, 2022 12:54 - 50 minutes - 69.9 MB

Angus is an incredible young man. We met by chance at a wedding a few weeks ago, and it amazed me, not only how good he was, but his journey. We spoke then, and in more detail on the pod, about growing up with various conditions, in a different country, and how finding magic saved his life, quite literally. Expect a few highs and lows on this episode, but his attitude is fantastic.  Thanks always Healthy Hangout UK, Dragon Signs, Tiny Rebel Brewery and Motazone.net

Ep115 - Lloyd White - 200+ Super League and Wales RL Caps - Crusaders, Widnes Vikings and Toulouse Olympique

February 21, 2022 14:54 - 1 hour - 87.6 MB

Having known Lloyd for years, it's easy to not appreciate the longevity and what Lloyd has achieved in the Super League. Couple that with him being Welsh, he has probably gone under the radar. Over 200 professional games, and lining up against England, New Zealand, and Australia. He's been there and done it all, with his sights set on more seasons and RLWC 2022 for Jamaica! Thanks always Dragon Signs, Motazone Cwmbran, The Healthy Hangout Cardiff, and Tiny Rebel Brewery

Ep114 - Jacques Burger - Saracens and Namibian Rugby Legend

February 14, 2022 12:00 - 1 hour - 97.8 MB

Maybe one of the hardest players in the game - the guy absolutely loved melting people in half! It was class to catch up with Jacques, and chat about a stellar career, some of the things holding Namibian rugby back despite him playing at 3 RWC's, and some of the teams and players he loved playing with and against. Great player, better bloke. Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery, Healthy Hangout Cardiff, Dragon Signs UK and Motazone Cwmbran

Ep113 - Eorl Crabtree - Rugby League and Huddersfield Giants legend

February 07, 2022 12:00 - 1 hour - 98.6 MB

Absolutely loved this, and what a great bloke Eorl is. Both Union and League as a kid, Eorl grew to be a one club legend with Huddersfield Giants in the Super League, getting his England caps on the way, and now working as part of the Giants commercial team. Great attitude and outlook on life, I already can't wait for the next podcast with him! Funny bloke and a budding entrepreneur  Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewery, Dragon Signs, Motazone Cwmbran and Healthy Hangout Cardiff

Ep112 - Dayfdd James - Lion, Wales, Heineken Cup Hero, and struggling to find a sense of purpose, post Rugby

January 31, 2022 12:00 - 1 hour - 84.6 MB

I won't lie, this was tough to record, and edit back. Dayfdd was a superstar of the Game. Lions 01 (3 Test Starts), one of the top scorers ever in the H-Cup. But since leaving Rugby, he has struggled, and is still struggling.  I am so grateful for his honesty, and I hope he finds the enjoyment he's looking for. If you ever feel the same, please reach out.  Thanks always Healthy Hangout, Dragon Signs, Motazone Cwmbran, White Rose Residential and Tiny Rebel Brewery

Ep111 - The Healthy Hangout & going on a fat loss transformation

January 24, 2022 12:00 - 54 minutes - 75.2 MB

This episode is different to a few others I've done. The Healthy Hangout, based in Trade Street, Cardiff, have come on board as a partner, to help me finally shift some weight! They will be providing my meals for the next few months, and keep me on track! I open up about my relationship with food, current weight, goals and how The Healthy Hangout are helping. Who knows, I may even see a 6 pack in time ;) Thanks always Dragon Signs, Tiny Rebel Brew Co, Motazone Cwmbran, and Whiterose Resi...

Ep110 - Phil Davies - 46 Caps for Wales Rugby, 2 RWC's as a Coach, and creating great Rugby cultures

January 17, 2022 12:00 - 1 hour - 116 MB

You know when it's a good one, when you could have sat for hours, even after 90 mins of chatting. Phil was a 46 cap Wales 2nd and back row, who's also spent 20+ years coaching at the top too. Teams in England, Wales, France, and Namibia across two RWC's, there isn't much he hasn't seen or done. Love his enthusiasm still, and how he tries to build good men and teams, rather than just focus on the win.  Thanks always Tiny Rebel, Dragon Signs, Motazone Cwmbran, and Whiterose Residential Home

Ep109 - Lloyd Ashley - 150 for Ospreys Rugby, and Mental Health Champion 'Living Well with Lloyd Ashley'

January 10, 2022 17:45 - 1 hour - 108 MB

Lloyd Ashley (@livingwellwithlloydashley) • Instagram photos and videos Great catch up with Lloyd. Over 150 professional games for the Ospreys and Scarlets, and his fair share of injuries, low points and career highlights, but it's his work in Mental Health we spoke most about I have attached Lloyds 'Living Well with Lloyd Ashley' Instagram, so you can see the great stuff he is doing in both clubs and schools and both of our DM's are open, if you ever need a chat!

Ep108 - Gareth Baber - Edinburgh Rugby Coach, Fiji Rugby, Fiji 7s 2020 Olympics and World Series 7s winning coach, and more...

January 03, 2022 16:58 - 1 hour - 98.3 MB

Fascinating to see Rugby through the eyes of a successful coach. Gareth is currently plying his trade up in Scotland, but previous has coached Fiji 15's, taken Fiji 7s to a World Series win and the Olympics in 2021, and coached Cardiff Rugby, Hong Kong 7s, and more.  Open and honest about the cultures he tries to create, and what he looks for in a team and player.  Thanks always Dragon Signs, Manscaped.com, Tiny Rebel Brewery, Motazone Cwmbran and Whiterose Residential Care Home.

Ep107 - Simon Church - Wales Footy, Euro2016, and being a Professional Footballer

December 27, 2021 17:33 - 1 hour - 107 MB

What a treat this was. Simon really lifted the lid on what it was REALLY like to be a professional footballer, brutally honest about having to retire with injuries in his prime, and THAT trip to the Euro's in 2016.  I'd say injuries robbed him of his best years and moments, but looking at him smiling all the way through this podcast means I'd 100% be wrong Thanks always Manscaped.com, Dragon Signs, Motazone UK and Tiny Rebel Brewery

Ep106 - Enzo Maccarinelli - Former World Champion Boxer, who says it how it is...

December 21, 2021 16:51 - 1 hour - 100 MB

Enzo is a funny bloke with plenty of stories to tell. A multiple weight, champion boxer, who has had his fair share of up's and downs over the years. Was great to learn about his journey in to boxing, what he's up to now, the World Title and others, and some funny stories along the way. December 13, 2021 19:17 - 1 hour - 85.5 MB

Great to catch up with Ben, who I watched growing up on the 7s circuit, becoming the all time top points scorer on the World 7s series - Something I don't think will be beaten for a while. I love his outlook on life - Wanted to travel the world, took his boots everywhere, and played both 15's and 7's at the top level. He played with and against the best in the world, and looks back fondly on a great career. CATFLAP20 for 20% off at MANSCAPED.com, and thanks Dragon Signs, Motazone Cwmbran, ...

Ep104 - Ryan Lamb - Still having a laugh after 17+ years in Professional Rugby

November 29, 2021 12:00 - 1 hour - 87.6 MB

V funny episode. I love how Ryan is so open about his experiences as a pro at club and international level, and says it all with a smile on his face. He's now coaching at Plymouth Albion, after a career at Gloucester, London Irish, Northampton Saints, Leicester Tigers, Worcester Warriors, La Rochelle, the Scarlets and England through the age grades into senior squads. There's not much he hasn't seen or done! Some class stories in here!  www.catflapchats.com Thanks always Tiny Rebel Brewe...

November 22, 2021 17:54 - 1 hour - 87.3 MB

Mike's book, 'Half Truths' is out now on Amazon, and I highly recommend it! Some of the stories are unreal! We spoke about his career at both club and international level, and his frustrations around the game he grew up in. Not only a brilliant career with Wales and Lions, but also backed that up at club level too, in Wales, France and England.  www.catflapchats.com Thanks always Dragon Signs, Motazone Cwmbran and Tiny Rebel Brewery

He also delves in to the differences in coaching boxing to boxers, and MMS fighters.  Thanks always to Dragon Signs, Motazone Cwmbran, Tiny Rebel Brewery. www.catflapchats.com

Ep101 - James Hook - Rugby and Writing. Mercurial or Maverick. Either way, the game needs more of him!

Fortunate to steal an hour with one of the most talented Welsh players to have played the game. A man who's skill and ability to play where needed was immense, but maybe hindered an 81 cap test career Loved the honesty, his outlook not only on playing, but life, the clubs he represented, the silverware won, and his decision to retire on his terms. He's becoming a respected coach in his own right, and a top selling Author too, with his series of books 'Chasing a Rugby Dream' Thanks always...

If you have listened to the High Performance Podcast, you'll know who Damian Hughes is. Fascinating insight in to a world of High Performance, and cultures in Sport. There's so many lessons in this episode, and I love that he grew up in a boxing environment, surrounded by elite level operators. Author, Host, Key Note Speaker, Professor, Coach Couldn't have asked for a better guest, for the 100th Ep Thanks to our partners Dragon Signs, Motazone Cwmbran, and Tiny Rebel Brewery
