Join me in my interview with Brigadier General Robert Spalding (USAF-ret)

In his esteemed career, General Spalding was a B-2 Pilot as well as piloting the B-52, T-38 and many other aircraft.

General Spalding retired from The U.S. Air force after 26 years of distinguished service. Throughout his career He was recognized for his knowledge of Chinese economic competition, global trends and cyber warfare. From 2014-2016 he was a lead China strategist for the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon. He also served as a senior defense official and defense attache at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. General Spalding then became the Senior Director for Strategic Planning with the National Security Council, where he advocated for a nationalized 5G plan to defend the technological infrastructure from Chinese interference. He later served as a Special Assistant to the Vice Chief of Staff, U.S. Air Force.

General Spalding earned his doctorate in economics and mathematics from the University of Missouri. His work has been published in the Washington Post, The Washington Times, Foreign Affairs, The American Interest, War on the Rocks, Fed Tech Magazine, Defense One and The Diplomat. The West Point curriculum frequently uses his Air Power Journal article on America's two Air Forces.
