A breast cancer diagnosis can feel lonely at times. It's natural for us to want to connect with others who are experiencing something similar, whether that is losing your hair from chemo, deciding on what type of surgery is best for you, or navigating the path of (in)fertility. In today's episode we speak with April Stearns, Founder and Editor-In-Chief of Wildfire Magazine. A magazine created with young women diagnosed with breast cancer in mind. April shares her personal story after being diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer at the age of 35. Her daughter was three years old. April speaks to the delicate topics of childbearing, genetic testing, breast feeding, and her decision to have a single mastectomy and forego reconstruction. While breast cancer is a heavy topic, April brings hope and joy to the conversation. She has created space for the community to flourish.Welcome to the ConversationLINKS:www.survivingbreastcancer.orgwww.breastcancerconversations.orgwww.wildfirecommunity.org
