The 5F’s for sales leaders to follow are:
Focus – particularly around priorities and in-depth understandingField – ensuring the right team with the right tools and the right resources is in placeFundamentals – ensuring the sales team have the right skills particularly in presenting, qualifying, negotiation and sales process executionForecast – been alert to the data and revenue numbers, the trends affecting them and forcing the future where possibleFun – ensuring that the sales team enjoy what they are doing and then feel as though they are being micro managedTodd's top tips included:
Don't cast a wider net when things get tough - in tough times you need extreme focus - and focus on the things you are best at and the target audience best suited for what you offer.
Think about having a '4 week sprint' - focusing in those 4 weeks on a sector or industry which you serve really well but still offers plenty of opportunity.
