In this episode, Dr. Liz shared how she overcame her past of physical and sexual abuse as well as her grieve with passing of her spouse. She also shared the effective strategies she used for her healing. 

Dr. Liz (pseudonym) was born and raised in the Mid-Atlantic US. She started college at 16 studying voice and  piano with an eye towards music therapy, which led her to write poems and song lyrics to self-soothe through difficult times.  Later, she received her BS in Nutrition Science after reading Adelle Davis’ Let’s Eat Right to Keep Fit,  and continued practicing self-help through optimal diet & nutrition.  Dr. Liz’ passion for writing, learning, and the healing arts led her to pursue higher degrees in human biology and a career in the medical field.

Life Launch! Surviving the Storms of Physical and Sexual Abuse,  Dr. Liz shares her life-long lessons of self-care, both traditional and non-traditional, which carried her through numerous traumas, and how that fuels her passion for life.
