In this Episode, Representative Anna V Eskamani shared her challenges as she lost her mother when she was 13 years old. With her love for Orlando and extensive experience in non-profit, she decided to pursue her campaign as a House of Representative for Orlando. She was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2018. 

Representative Anna V Eskamani is an Orlando native and daughter of working class immigrants, elected to serve District 47 in the Florida House. She is authentic, vocal, and effective. She is a champion for LGBTQ equality, the environment, affordable housing, increased access to healthcare, and public education. 

Anna earned two bachelor degrees at UCF in Political Science and Women’s Studies along with a certificate in Service Learning. She continued her pursuit of higher education at UCF and received dual Masters in December 2015 with graduate degrees in Nonprofit Management and Public Administration, along with a Certificate in Gender Studies. She is also a Certified Nonprofit Professional. Today, Anna continues her academics as a PhD student in Public Affairs at UCF, serves as an adjunct professor when she has time, and works full time at NEO Philanthropy, serving as their State Strategic Advisor in Florida.
