Join the conversation as Kyle Grappone and I talk about inspiring students and young adults to discover their passion - by focusing on "what type of person you want to become".

Kyle Grappone is the founder of To The Next Step, an educational services company that
prepares students for the next steps in their lives, including college and entering the workforce
and the real world that awaits them. His organization accomplishes these goals through an
array of services including motivational speaking keynotes, group workshops, self-help books,
student success coaching, on-demand courses, live online classes, and various free resources.
Kyle founded this organization after working and living in the aforementioned “real world” for
nearly ten years. A few years after graduating he began to notice that the majority of his
co-workers seemed to dislike their jobs and worse, were dissatisfied with the type of person they
had become and the life they were living. He began to dig deeper and discovered that one of
the main reasons for the issue was because these graduates were not prepared for what was
coming after high school and college. They did not take the time to research and prepare for
their futures. Instead, they adopted a “figure it out later” attitude, and when later arrived, they
were thrown into a world they knew nothing about, forced to take a job they did not want and
ended up living a life they never intended on living.
The main message and purpose of To The Next Step is to help students understand the
importance of preparing for the futures. To inspire them to think differently about their education
and answer the question, “What type of person do you want to become?”. This change in mindset combined with the various services offered, Kyle is confident that students will move into the next phase of their life with a clear picture of where they are going, who they want to become, and what type of impact they want to have on their community and the world around them.
