In this episode Diane talks about how to cope with stress and how to manage those events when stress is inevitable. She draws on personal experience from times in her life when she was balancing being a mother, a tech consultant and a college student and stress caused her to have an anxiety attack.

Diane clearly explains what to do in events when stress is unavoidable and ways to minimize the impact. She also encourages her listeners to identify their reactions to stress - be it smoking, drinking, eating - so that we can realize when we're experiencing stress and switch to a more healthy coping mechanism.

What you will learn:

Stress is anything that disrupts your body’s natural rhythm. Stress is unique to each individual and affects us differently. Diane's old mantra was "do what you have to do". Stress can be caused when you're trying to live up to others expectations and by not setting clear boundaries. Identify the causes and then chose a response;  Avoidance - set clear boundaries, learn to say no, step away or outside, read a book. Reframing - See the stress as a good thing because it's teaching you to see things differently and learn from the moment. Accept that stress will happen and plan around it.
