goodbye/fun facts....national chocolate cupcake day...some sources say it's today...some say it's tomorrow...but either way. Cupcakes can be traced back to 1796 when a recipe notation of "a cake to be baked in small cups" was written in American Cookery, by Amelia Simmons. Bakers initially baked their cupcakes in heavy pottery cups....but today there are so many choices: individual ramekins, small coffee mugs, large teacups, muffin pans, paper or silicone liners.  And you can jazz up the chocolate flavor too...chocolate mint, chocolate orange, double or triple chocolagte...or watch The Food Network reality-based competition show, Cupcake Wars has a million ideas too!
