The idea of a local flood comes from outside the Bible, specifically the idea of millions of years. But those supposed long ages allegedly come from the rock layers and fossils.

Some Christians believe that Noah’s flood was just a local event. Why?
Well, it’s not because Genesis teaches a local flood. Genesis is clear: the flood covered the entire earth. And Jesus and the apostles also taught a global flood.
The idea of a local flood comes from outside the Bible, specifically the idea of millions of years. But those supposed long ages allegedly come from the rock layers and fossils. And a global flood would’ve ripped up previous layers … and then redeposited them. There go the millions of years!
You can’t believe in millions of years and a global flood. Instead, let’s start with Scripture! It was a global event!
