This episode announces the renaming of this podcast from And This Is Bodhi with Lola Wright to And This Is Lola Wright following Lola’s departure from Bodhi Center in March of 2020. After a longer than expected break between seasons Lola is back providing context and making sense of the global health crisis known as COVID-19 or Coronavirus.

Lola invites you to consider that the global indicators for change long preceded the current pandemic. As one who interprets life through metaphor Lola suggests that you consider the learning that this time of discomfort and interruption provides.

Lola refers to the “painbody” of humanity, a concept made popular by author and philosopher Eckhart Tolle. The reorganization of systems and structures is a necessary response to the current “painbody”.

As a revered guide, Lola draws on author Julia Cameron’s practice of “morning pages” to tap into the subconscious mind during this collective time of stillness. Lola suggests that you join her in committing to seven days of journaling at the onset of every day. She recommends beginning the day with curiosity and listening for what is coming into greater self awareness.

This episode concludes with Lola leading a meditation asking the questions “how may this global paradigm shift be in service of the evolution of humanity?”, “how may this global paradigm shift be in service of my personal awakening?”, and “how am I being asked to grow?”. The practice of meditation is intended to provide a sense of deep relaxation and stillness.
