Episode: 00113

Release Date: June 27, 2022

Description: TJ Sweet, one of our previous guest’s (Charlie Giberti) pick for the “Analyst of Tomorrow” title, joins us this week with a bunch of tips & tricks for people (students) interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement analysis, including classes he recommends and skill sets to build upon. TJ discusses his transition from Cincinnati to Charlotte and explains his preference for centralized units. TJ’s badge stories involve identifying gang members through social media to help solve a case and creation of a product that helps the department be privy to recent robberies in the jurisdiction. TJ is an advocate for automation to help expedite analytical tasks. TJ is currently a Data Specialist with the Charlotte Police Department.
