In this episode, Shannon shares how her internship helped narrow her focus and expertise in intelligence from a GIS analyst, as well as how GIS plays into the world of intelligence. Shannon defines data governance, describes its importance, and explains why it is not just another buzzword. Shannon is also an advocate for diversity in hiring, automation, programming, and learning GIS. Shannon is currently the Acting Senior Analyst at the Toronto Police Department.
