Power session interview Laz Alonso, a talented actor who has starred in several movies and TV series. Laz joined Howard University with a major in Marketing. In 2000, he made his TV debut by hosting the TV show A.M. @ BET. He also appeared in the music videos of Toni Braxton and Aaliyah during that time. In 2000, he also appeared in the TV movie Disappearing Acts. He got his rise in mainstream fame after portraying the role of Fenix "Rise" Calderon in the movie Fast & Furious. His breakthrough role as an actor came in 2009 after he starred the role of Tsu'tey in the movie Avatar. Laz won an NAACP Image Award in 2012 and continues to be a fixture in black media.
