After losing to Northern Illinois in overtime in the season opener, Boston College has moved on to a new starting quarterback. transfer to UCF On Saturday, Thomas Castellanos faced Holy Cross and received his first career start. Last week, Boston College needed OT after falling behind 21-7, but Castellanos came off the bench to lead the Eagles to 21 points in the second half. He did this by throwing for two touchdowns and rushing for another. The Boston College coaches were impressed by Castellanos' dual threat potential during camp. In place of redshirt sophomore Emmett Morehead against Northern Illinois, he ended with 138 passing yards and 67 rushing yards. Castellanos demonstrated his ability to produce in both planned run plays and throwing from the quarterback.
