In this episode I discuss the EXHAUSTING world of having an ‘emotional sixth sense’: the capability to read those around you so astutely, often before they have registered their thoughts and feelings themselves. I talk about the vicious cycle in which you can end up in - your hypersensitivity making others’ withdraw, which in turn makes you hyper-reactive, and so forth, until the situation becomes unbearable - and how the ADHDer’s constant mood swings and emotional overloads can become too much for people to handle. I express myself through certain analogies involving coconuts, hyenas, and a certain wizard in an invisibility cloak. I also give an absolute solid reason for why I should win an Oscar (or 12)!
