The Smugglers Scuttle has to be one of the most entertaining whilst still tough runs certainly that I've ever done.
From most of the marshals and many of the runners being dressed as pirates to the fact that halfway you were obliged to pick up a small bottle of rum, to pirate coins, to gemstones and a teabag and placed them in a special small little bag and then carry them back with you to the finish.
Apparently teabags back in the day where one of the most smuggled items.
And then in typically glorious Bys Vyken fashion course planner Dave had included what he lovingly describes as pointless hills.
The first pointless hill was merely 30 yards or so but it became less pointless when it gave you the opportunity to see in the bay the wreck of the ship. The RMS Mulheim a German cargo ship wrecked in 2003.
The next pointless hill was much, much longer. A series of never ending steps climbing to the aid station at the top of Gwynver.
And you had to do both pointless hills both on the way out and on the way back.

If you want to take part in a Bys Vyken event before they close time on it then there are two options Ford Sen Mighal in December and Cousin Jack in March.
Dave and Sal put so much into each event so lets get these two sold out for them.
