For our fifth episode, we talk with Dr. Anne Louise Lockhart a pediatric psychologist and parent coach, and is the owner of A New Day Pediatric Psychology in San Antonio, TX. She has spoken nationally at schools, conferences, online podcasts, summits, and corporate workshops for topics about ADHD, executive functioning, and racism. Dr. Lockhart has been interviewed and quoted in multiple online and print publications, including the New York Post, New York Times, Pure Wow, MSN, Fatherly, San Antonio Magazine, Veronica Beard, and Therapy for Black Girls podcast. She is a Freelance Writer for PureWow and a Contributor for The Gottman Institute.

We talk with Dr. Lockhart about the stigma around mental health, the modalities of therapies she uses, how she advises parents to start the conversation with their children at different ages, and how to know if a teenager is experiencing typical development or might be experiencing a mental health need. We hope you enjoy!
