On today's episode of Yours Mentally we talk about student mental health and discuss all the problems that students go through right from their schooling days to college. This episode is in conversation with Drishti Goenka who is a counselling psychologist.

We begin the episode by asking Drishti what are a few common mental health illnesses faced by students? 
We then ask in what ways can schools and colleges promote the ideology that learning is more important than marks? Do you think it would help improve students' mental health?
We also discuss if any changes have been made in schools and colleges to help students that face these illnesses? What potential provisions can be made?
We then ask her what is her opinion on encouraging “cut throat competition” in schools and colleges? Is it necessary for their holistic development or does it lead to deterioration of student mental health?
We then go on to talk about how schools help students rise above the stigma surrounding mental health illnesses.
We then ask that since online school/ college has started in this pandemic, cyber bullying has been a major issue. How do students prevent social media from affecting them negatively?
We also ask Drishti if she thinks the Netflix original “13 reasons why” represents student mental Health appropriately? What are some things it portrays incorrectly?
Lastly, we ask what advice would you give to your 18 year old self when you were a college student?
