On September 17th, California Governor Gavin Newsome signed SB 1159 into law.  Unlike most legislation, this law is considered "emergency legislation" and takes effect upon its signing.

It creates a rebuttable presumption in cases where COVID-19 infections occur in the workplace, creating a compensable injury under current Workers' Compensation insurance policies.

Join Greg and John as they discuss the nuances of this legislation and what it means to your small business if you have employees.

Record keeping is a must as are reporting requirements.  Join the show and learn what these are and how to protect your employees and your company from running afoul of the Governor's new rules.

Many other states have similar legislation or have considered putting similar plans in place.  John will share his research on this with the audience as well.
