Whenever we are in crisis, we feel overwhelmed, and kick us into action.   But when things are going well, we tend to dial down the urgency and slow down.

 

We tend to forget that what got us here is the work we did previously to this point in time vs the work we are currently doing. This is called "Lag Time".

 

That power of Lag Time is it takes time for results to come to flourish or for poor outcomes to happen.  To achieve any success in practice, it requires the ability to create URGENCY in the right areas so that you are always focused on producing rather than procrastinating.  

 

Understanding the Eisenhower Matrix will help you create the necessary urgency (or lack of it) to achieve greater success.
