Mansur Zennelli is one of the guitarists in the progressive rock band, Closure In Moscow. If you haven’t heard this band and you are into kick-ass riffs, songs and great progressive rock, check them out now.

I first discovered Closure In Moscow around 9/10 years ago and when their Pink Lemonade record came out I was hooked. I also saw them live at The Garage in London a few years ago which was awesome.

That gig sadly ended with them being robbed of their passports and then they played next to the terrorist attack that happened at The Bataclan, which left them ending their tour shortly thereafter. But you will hear Manny talk more about this in the interview.

It was awesome talking to Manny and despite the lag due to the distance between Melbourne and London, I hope you will like this interview too.

In this interview, we spoke about:

• Writing Pink Lemonade and taking a different direction from First Temple

• Being independent vs signing to a record label

• How they achieved the heavy guitar tones of That Bhramatron Song

• What young bands should be on the lookout for when signing a record deal

• Being robbed of their passports after their gig at The Garage

• Then playing in Paris at the same time as the terrorist attacks happened at The Bataclan

• Dealing with anxiety

• The sacrifices they had to make to get where they are today

• Having a job to support yourself and your music

• New music coming from Closure In Moscow
