#50 Thibault Castagne, CEO & Co-Founder, Vianova

From studying financial engineering to launching a career as a Quantitative Trader at HSBC, Thibault Castagna, the CEO of Vianova, appeared to be quite distant from the world of mobility at the time. However, he later transitioned into the role of an investment manager in the energy & macro fund, where he established and managed the renewable energy investment vehicle. This experience nurtured his passion for energy transition and electric mobility, ultimately leading him to co-found Spark Horizon in 2017. The focus of Spark Horizon was to revolutionize the e-mobility market with an innovative business model, in collaboration with Thibauld Febvre (COO). In 2019, the duo, along with Frédéric Robinet (CTO), went on to establish Vianova.

After spending just a few years becoming the foremost data aggregator and geoanalytics platform within shared mobility and beyond, Thibault Castagne, the CEO of Vianova, sits down with Gunnar to discuss how his company has evolved and what lies ahead.

With a passion for energy and electromobility, Thibault founded Vianova along with his fellow co-founders to ensure that all shared mobility operators, fleet managers, and even governments could benefit from and stay updated through the power of data. Vianova, now a geoanalytics and data platform, has successfully served mobility industry professionals worldwide, as data has become the new "oil." While maintaining its primary focus on shared mobility, Thibault shares his beliefs and future visions that extend beyond the industry and Paris, as Vianova continues its journey towards profitability.
