Angela Mitra, Curriculum Coordinator at Obersee Bilingual School, has some great tips to prepare children for their return to school next week.

She looks at some practical things that parents could do this week to get children back into the routine, to make the transition next week flawless. They include getting the bedtime routine back and she even recommends doing the usual school walk or drive, where possible.

Psychologically, Angela has some tips to ease the kids back into it.

Angela encourages parents to discuss the most positive parts of the last few weeks with their children too - to determine whether there are aspects of life in lockdown that children might want to continue, such as the quality time spent together or eating meals together.
