Which one are you listening to? 🧐⁣ ⁣

A vital part of work I do with EVERY ONE of my clients when they start working with me in my 1:1 package or the Intensive sessions is re-evaluating their inner self-talk 🗣⁣

Searching for both their inner critic and inner mentor. This incredibly juicy exercise really helps us build both confidence and self-esteem and brings that inner critic into the third person rather than always believing it’s ‘ourselves’.⁣

The inner critic (ego) is within all of us, it will never go away so we have to become savvy with how we respond to it!⁣

Your inner critic has lots of different so-called ‘qualities’ but here are a few you might resonate with:⁣

👉🏻 Harsh, rude, and mean⁣

👉🏻 Very black and white⁣

👉🏻 The voice of ‘reason’ / you aren’t ready yet⁣

👉🏻 The broken record thoughts⁣

👉🏻 Irrational but persistent⁣

It’s really important we don’t make our inner critic the enemy, but we give it reassurance, love, and address it.⁣

There are many ways we can do this but one of the ways is to be able to create a character for your inner critic. 🧟‍♀️🧟🧟‍♂️⁣

👉🏻 What does this character look like?⁣

👉🏻 What are 5 adjectives that describe your inner critic's personality?⁣

👉🏻 What's its name?⁣

(Mine is called Tracey ps. 🙋🏼‍♀️)

The more we create our ‘inner critic’ into a third person, who is detached from ourselves the easier it is to question it when it arrives. ⁣

Start calling the voice by its name when it shows up and start to question its motives...⁣
