In this episode, we bring you Faranak Partoazar’s journey to success as a cyclist, a path she chose that was filled with obstacles and struggles. Coming from a region that was uncomfortable with women excelling in sports and gaining popularity, Faranak rebels through with conviction and resolution. She is an inspiration for every woman that’s afraid to be unapologetically herself in a world that wants to shove you down. She continues to share her journey far and wide and wants to be an inspiration to many and help them believe their dreams are attainable, regardless of how difficult they start their journey!

Faranak Partoazar is a professional mountain biker and cyclist. Though a structural engineer by profession, her love and passion for biking didn’t stop her from achieving her dreams! Born in Shiraz, a city south of Iran, her real fight started long before she could even compete on a race track, as she had to fight passionately to get the right of "riding the bike freely as a girl” in the strict and traditional society of Iran. She professionally started her career in 2014 with the national team of Iran. Ever since she has won all national titles and became the first ever female Iranian cyclist to medal at the Asian championships which led her to winning a Bronze medal in the 2019 Asian Championships. She is also ranked as the number one female Asian rider.
