Episode 75 with Dr. Raafia Muhammad.

"Now that more women are getting diagnosed, they’re able to talk about their experiences with each other and put their voices out there."

Dr. Muhammad is the Clinical Division Chief at ADHD Online. She joined the company when they were first starting up back in August of 2020, and she focuses on individualized care of her online patients and believes that ADHD can become a patient’s asset rather than a deficit when properly understood and treated.

Dr. Muhammad is board certified in general preventive medicine and public health. She is licensed in multiple states, and lives in Cypress, TX, with her husband and two kids.

We talk all about the process of getting an online diagnosis and what’s involved, and how clients are often surprised to be working with real medical providers and not just bots.

We also talk about unique barriers for women when it comes to seeking a diagnosis on their own, not to mention the subsequent treatment, and how telemedicine is filling the gaps for patients who might not have immediate access to knowledgeable providers in their area.

And Dr. Muhammad addresses some of the skepticism around telehealth companies versus the old-fashioned in-person visits we’ve been used to.

If you’re curious about — or at all skeptical of — the online diagnosis process, you won’t want to miss this episode!
