Miley Cyrus's Gospel: Purity, Virginity and Autonomy

Miley Cyrus is just another in a long line of Pop Stars who are marketing raw sexuality to young generation and calling it: Female Empowerment. This is nothing new: Brittany Spears did it, Madonna did it, Lady Gaga, blah blah blah etc....Nothing new under the sun....YET Miley Cyrus has taken up the charge that 'Virginity' is itself just a social construct: something made up by the evil Patriarchy to subjugate women and oppress them. But is this what the Bible says? Does the Bible dish out purity as a way to keep women down and free up men to live as they please? Or does the Bible rather call ALL men AND women to live pure lives?
