Nonprofit organizations face numerous challenges and pressures, which have only increased in the last few years. COVID has made it abundantly clear that it is essential that nonprofits pay attention to their operational efficiencies, be aware of changing business environments, and realize that recruitment models must change.

Strategic thinking—from the big picture, long-range planning to the everyday use of project management tools and software such as Trello— can enable nonprofits to not just face, but actually thrive, amidst challenges and today’s dynamic environment.

Dayna Williams-Capone has worked as a leader and manager in public libraries for over 25 years and understands the similarities and connections that public libraries and nonprofit organizations share in common.  She has worked in partnership with nonprofits developing library programming, helping library users connect to nonprofit services and more close to home has used her career experience in advising her spouse on how the nonprofit he leads can take the ideas of community connection and innovation and apply them in his organization.

Balancing family and professional life always makes for high-energy days and can lead to times of stress or intense satisfaction based upon the tasks and achievements of the moment.  Dayna is always looking for ways to decrease stress and increase efficiencies so the Happiness Journey was an ideal fit for her.
