We help businesses and individuals activate their social media presence so they stand out from the crowd. What makes us a little unique is we embrace helping individuals create their online presence, whereas most other social media firms shy away from that aspect. Regardless if you are a corporate executive or a small business owner we start by helping you determine who your audience is and what message are you communicating to them via your social media presence.

When you begin to advertise your services online we recommend you use landing pages as part of your campaign strategy to ensure that people who are ready to buy can do so easily. It is an easy thing to overlook but it makes a big difference in the conversion rate of leads to paying customers. What I encourage most businesses to do when they are starting is to get a simple one-page website. And then work your way up to a more robust platform with more features when you can invest more resources.

LinkedIn organic reach is fantastic for people with a personal brand. If your business is in the B2B environment you must have a LinkedIn page to be seen as credible. Often the first mistake I see people make is they build their LinkedIn page like a resume. Which is ok if you are trying to find a job but a bad idea if you want to attract customers to do business with you. The headline and about sections of your profile should be written in such a way that speaks to your target customer's pain points and why you’re the best person to solve that issue for them.

I recommend people take 15-minutes on Tuesday or Thursday morning and post something or comment on something that your target customers would care about. If you’re not sure what to say put a pen and a notepad or post-it note next to your computer. As you go through the week and you speak with customers jot down the questions they ask you. Then when you sit down to write a post look over those notes to see what topic you could write a few sentences about.

When it comes to making hiring decisions I think diversity is important because all those different perspectives are valuable. Also, when I’m interviewing people I love to ask them these two questions, what made their favorite boss great and what made their least favorite boss bad. Their answers to these questions will tell you who they aspire to be and how they might fit or fill a need in your organization.
