In today’s episode, Shelley and Phil taste through two wines from another Idaho Winery, Cinder, in honor of Idaho Wine Month which is June.  Cinder Winery is a small, family-owned winery located in Garden City, Idaho that produces a variety of wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Tempranillo. Cinder Winery is committed to sustainable winemaking practices which we love!

The Social Web Wine Word of the Week - Leathery

This is a descriptor for wines that have flavors of leather, tobacco, or other aged materials. Leathery flavors are often due to the presence of tannins, which can soften and mellow over time.

Wines we enjoyed this week: F. Stephen Miller Angel’s Reserve Red Angel, Elsom Cellars Syrah, Pèppoli Chianti Classico and a J. Bookwalter Readers Chardonnay.

Mentions: Brenda and Matt Sparkman, Art McIntosh, James Suckling, Joy and Curt Grady, Bottle Joy, Grant Cardon, Janet and CJ Northrup.
