At last we have adoptee interviews with their own parents. In observance of November being National Adoption Month, I've coordinating one on one conversations between adoptees and their parents. Adoption is rarely spoken about in the home, why is it that? There is so much unresolved pain in the single word "adoption." I'm here to show you that these conversations are possible. Here are some examples of questions you can ask on your path to deeper healing and understanding; that we might be able to express ourselves uninhibited, no longer holding back the largest truth about ourselves.
In this compelling conversation a white father and black son discuss growing up in South Carolina in an all white community, their support systems and what prompted the father to adopt as a single parent.
