Welcome back to this week’s episode of, “When God Breaks Through”.

This week Bethany answers another fellow mama’s question.

Don’t forget you can send in your questions, as well. Just visit Bethany’s instagram and facebook page @bethanykimsey to send a message with your question.

One mom asked, “How do you do Christmas? How do you lead and have devotions that lead your children well? What is your perspective with all the craziness that Christmas can bring?”

Have you been good this year? Are you on Santa’s nice list? What is Santa bringing you this year?  Have you ever heard people ask these questions? It’s not that these are bad questions, however it could give children the wrong view. This kind of view could lead them to thinking that their performance determines their goodness.

It is important to remind our kids, it does not matter what you have done, it matters whose you are.

The  enemy tries to convince our children that their performance factors into the equation of their salvation. If he can convince them of that, then grace is lost.

Christmas is such a great time of year to instill the truths of the gospel in children. Through our actions, our Christmas traditions, and how we handle the whole Christmas season, children can be shown what Christmas is truly all about.

Don’t forget to follow Bethany on Instagram @bethanykimsey and check out her website https://bethanykimsey.com to share your perspectives on Christmas and what traditions your family has adopted to teach the gospel through the season!

We pray this Christmas season that children would learn that Jesus is the greatest gift they could ever receive.

Being a mom in the culture we live in is hard! As moms, be fierce in your prayer life and fierce in the way we pray for our children.
