A vigil was held in the center of Lancaster city this past Tuesday night. It was meant to demonstrate solidarity with the now well-publicized Standing Rock Sioux oil pipeline protest and spread awareness about Lancaster County’s own fight against a natural gas pipeline. There were “dozens” of people there – at least according to Fox43 news. I talked to a few of them, and tried to feel the momentum of something moving forward.
