You’ve likely seen the viral Signal for Help that women have been sharing on social media since the pandemic started but you probably don’t know that this initiative was created by the Canadian Women’s Foundation. Pamela Di Pinto is the manager of the Signal for Help and joins me today to share how it started, some very public success stories of it working, and more importantly how you should respond should someone send you this signal.

Christmas with teens can be challenging for both sides. Parents are often left shellshocked as their sweet excitable child is replaced by a sullen anti-social teen, and teens are left wondering what all the fuss is about anyway. Aly Pain, What She Said’s expert on the parent/teen dynamic is here today with some tips for getting through this year’s holiday with comfort, and joy.

Natalie Romero knows how you’re feeling all too well, after being laid off this summer from Shopify. Natalie joins me to share her best tips for getting through a lay off in the best shape possible.

If you’re sober curious or have given up drinking entirely, the holidays can be challenging. Sarah Kate from somegoodcleanfun.com stops by with some tips on everything from what to drink, to preparing mentally, to being the only sober person in the room. This interview is great fun for everyone, whether you drink or not, if only because it offers perspective of the other side, and that’s important when we gather to celebrate.
