Show Notes:

How are you feeling? I mean truly, when was the last time you checked in on the emotions you’re feeling amidst the hustle and bustle of your day? In this episode, we’re joined by Author, Professor, and Founding Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, Marc Brackett. Marc shares challenges he faced as a child and how his uncle was the first to ask him how he was feeling without judgment. Giving him permission to feel his emotions. Marc dives into the Mood Meter, and how we can use it to do the same thing his uncle did for him, acknowledge feelings without judgment. From the ways different genders and racial groups are affected differently around emotions, and the power of failing forward, this episode is all about awareness and the worthwhile work to grow and feel all the emotions without giving them power over you.
