Previous Episode: What's in the Goody Bag?
Next Episode: Let's Rock!

In this episode Julie talks to Nathan Wyburn, a Welsh artist and media personality who has created celebrity portraits (iconography) and pop culture imagery using non-traditional media such as foodstuffs and other household items.  He talks about how it all began with a portrait of Simon Cowell made from marmite and toast.  After getting to the semi finals of Britain's Got Talent he chats about the portraits he created for Madonna, Prince Charles, Mariah Carey, Dame Shirley Bassey, Catherine Zeta-Jones and The Queen to name a few!
Nathan speaks of being  a proud Welshman from the Valleys, his schooldays, being bullied and how he is keen to use art to portray what is going on in the world.
He supports the NHS, is the Patron of Cardiff & Vale Health Charity and was delighted last year to produce a portrait of Gareth Thomas (ex Wales and British & Irish Lions Rugby Union captain) to help to break down the stigma of aids using red paint to symbolise blood in the portrait.  Nathan is a proud gay man with an absolute passion for supporting and championing LBGTQ+ rights, promoting equality and mental health.
