Evolvement is a podcast hosted by Nye that revolves around Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and how these play a role in the current financial models and economic systems of the world.
In this episode, I sat down Medha Parlikar the CEO of CasperLabs. CasperLabs is working to create a better model of Proof of Stake. Utilizing a proof of stake system offers a security and consensus model that does not waste all the electricity associated with Proof of Work , while also making cryptos more accessable to miners. The new 2.0 version of Ethereum will operate on a modified Proof of Stake model. The incentive model will different which may disrupt the mining ecosystem as it rewards stakers on a regular interval.
