Andrew Barton is a Professor at UC San Diego and Scripps. He is also a Marine Ecologist. Andrew received his Ph.D. in Climate Physics and Chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2011. His research focuses on understanding a critical, but individually tiny, component of life on Earth: plankton. Furthermore, his research focuses on how climate change impacts marine life and the ocean. In this episode, we speak about how changes in the climate have affected the ocean, coral and the great barrier reef, how sea level rise and coastal cities are being affected by ecological and economic impacts and much more.
