Call it digital therapeutics, neuroelectric stimulation, or a brain-machine interface but it’s all part of the future of treating neurological and psychiatric conditions including pain, epilepsy, Alzheimer's, stroke, rehabilitation, depression and addictive disorders.

Entrepreneur Ana Maiques is CEO of neuroscience-based medical device company Neuroelectrics, a startup creating a wearable device that can stimulate or dampen electrical signals in the brain while giving the user real time feedback of brain activity.

Ana thinks that these devices will evolve and be used to enhance brain power and, ultimately, change what it means to be human. In this episode Ana discussed these possibilities and the ethics of such technologies.

Ana Maiques, CEO,  Neuroelectrics, was in conversation with Rob Pegoraro, a journalist with USA Today on the Auto/Tech and TalkRobot stage at Web Summit 2022.
