Joey L. - Celebrating Humanity

Joey L. is an award-winning photographer, director, author and educator whose work is regularly seen in magazines, subway advertisements, and billboards. Since the age of 18, Joey’s work has been consistently sought out by a number of prominent advertising clients, including Lavazza, National Geographic Channel, Jose Cuervo, just to name a few. He has photographed a number of recognizable faces including Robert De Niro, Danny DeVito, Jennifer Lawrence, and John Legend. His personal work has resulted in series, films, exhibitions and books including Holy Men in Varanasi, People of the Delta in the Omo Valley Ethiopia, and his latest book We Came from Fire: Guerrilla Fighters of Kurdistan. His intimate portraits tell individual stories of will power and resilience all over the globe.
