With the constant flow of information, loud music, social media, noisy neighbors, it’s important to have a practice to help you buffer stress. That important practice is meditation. It doesn’t have to be complicated and you don’t have to subscribe to any weird beliefs, it’s literally brain training. Mindfulness meditation allows us to be present, not let time go by, and dwell over things that don’t exist. The past is a memory, the future is a dream, and the present is really the gift.
