Is it possible to declutter and live a more simple life without being wasteful?
This was a question asked to me by Wendy recently in my private Wannabe Minimalist Family Community (click here if you want to join). And it’s a common question that a lot of us face on our journey to better lives with less stuff.
After we get over the urge to buy, spend, and add more to our lives and in our homes, the guilt of having spent so much over the years and the idea of just tossing it all can get pretty heavy.
There are several different ways to look at what we mean by wasteful. It could be tied to money, or the environment, or the ideas we had for our future selves that never really materialized. No matter which way you slice it, guilt and the feeling of wastefulness often appear as we declutter, downsize, and let go of things we no longer need.
But, the good news is, there are a few tried and true strategies for overcoming this feeling of guilt. If you are in a place where you want to bridge the juxtaposition between wanting to simplify and wanting to be resourceful and not wasteful, then this episode is for you.
This podcast episode will not only walk you through the different meanings of wastefulness and guilt, but will also show you how to overcome them and move forward in an authentic way. Get ready to live the simple and intentional life you’re longing for…guilt-free!
This episode of the Wannabe Minimalist Show will help you discover:

The 3 things we mean when we talk about being wasteful

How a simple mindset shift can get you to see your stuff in a new light
