Karuna Tanahashi is a multidisciplinary performer and creator. She graduated from Smith College with a BA in theatre, moved to Los Angeles 10 years ago to be an actress, and since then has acquired many titles - including singer, songwriter, photographer, filmmaker, fire dancer, and chocolatier. She loves talking about the creative process and mixing and matching various disciplines to create her own unique brand of art. Over the years, Karuna has acted on stage and screen; filmed and photographed lots of live music; directed several music videos; wrote, produced and starred in a narrative short; and performed around LA as a lead singer as well as a background vocalist. She is currently recording her debut album, "Undercover Diva", which combines pop, Broadway, and classic rock with a few sprinkles of country pop. She is beyond excited to be working with an all-star cast of session musicians, including Danny Seraphine (Chicago), Rich Redmond (Jason Aldean), and Russ Irwin (Aerosmith/Joe Bonamasa). When she's not on social media making a capella videos with costumes and cheesy dance moves, you can find her making dark chocolate or playing fetch with her little toy poodle,Teddy. Keep an eye out for her first single and music video - a country song called "Bang Bang". Coming soon!
