BEHIND THE CURTAIN....
Guns. Drugs. Booze. Broads. Cheaters. Liars. Broken bones. Broken dreams. Dead thugs in black Caddy car trunks. Fistfights on the corner. Prejudice. Bigotry. Misogyny.

Oh, just a typical day in my hometown - Providence, RI - where working-class heroes STILL hi-five to Mob rule, the Catholic church and a good Italian meatball.

Who rescued me from the fate many friends met at the end of a bullet, a bottle, a pill? Aretha, Sly, Tina, Teddy, Barbra, Stevie, Frank, Ray, Isaac, Bassey, The Isleys, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Rod Stewart, Neil Young, Hendrix, Joplin, Sarah, Ella, James, Tower of Power, Earth Wind & Fire - their lives, their songs - my own personal Life Soundtrack! My secret I.V. tube, dripping knowledge no adult could provide, pearls of wisdom that guided & calmed me, fired my imagination, & helped me rise above and get the hell out in one piece.

Out, from the fire to the frying pan. Pounding the gritty NYC streets, I fought TOOTH & NAIL for every gig, crumb and credit, while singing songs - theirs and mine - on sidewalks and in dark clubs. One VOICE of thousands, in the shadows, searching for meaning, truth, my sound, MY unique version of love & redemption.

Then, a life flipper: a job slinging cocktails at NYC's Blue Note Jazz Club - an education no money could buy. Face to face with living legends - jazz icons who rose up through decades of social injustice to create JAZZ. More creative marination, incubation, trials by fire.

Onwards from NYC to Canada. England. L.A. I persevered. I pursued. I forged 'The Dream' ...which led me to:

NOW. HERE. WITH YOU.

And about NOW??

Well, birds fly. Presidents LIE. Bells RING, & SINGERS SING.

No one hears life the way I do. That 's the way I sing it.

I wake up with songs in my head. I am a human compilation disk, an amalgam of all styles of music I soaked up as a kid - pop/jazz/funk/soul - plus years of survival on Mother Earth. I NEED TO RECORD the MUSIC.

SONGS & MUSIC saved ME. Maybe I can do the same for some lost someone?

In the here & now, I tilt forward, through the deluge, the onslaught, the competition, and in doing so, create MY OWN UNIQUE NICHE in an ever changing world!

Flanked by an amazing ensemble of stellar soldier musicians who vibe with my equal parts DRIVE, EMOTION, OBSESSION & PASSION, I stand on the shoulders of giants, ready to take it to the next level.

I JUST NEED TO RECORD THE MUSIC. ONCE FINISHED, WE TOUR JAPAN!!!
